I want to share my favourite almost-daily smoothie.
My kids refuse to eat salads so this is a great way for them to get some greens without them really realizing it.
The great thing about this smoothie is that it allows for a lot of freedom and experiments.
My kids LOVE helping with these smoothies- we will get really adventurous with the add ins.
Ingredients: (This makes enough for 5 people)
Handful of Flax Seed
Handful of Chia Seeds
3/4 Cups of Frozen Organic Kale (No Frills carries this)
I will usually blend these together first (If you have a really good blender- you probably don't need to bother doing that)
1 or 2 bananas (I like bananas so I usually do 2)
1 Cup of Frozen Fruit (Blueberries, Mangos or Mixed Fruit)
Big Giant Handful of Spinach
2 Celery Stalks
2 Cups of Water or Almond Milk
OPTIONAL HEALTHY ADD INS:
Big Spoonful of Coconut Oil
1/2 Teaspoon of Tumeric (Optional)
1/2 Cup of Plain Yogurt (Optional)
Big Sprinkle of Cacao Powder
Handful of Hempseeds
Big Spoonful of Vega Protein Powder (I like Chocolate or Vanilla)
1 or 2 Cannabis Leaves
Spirilina (Wouldn't use the cacao powder or vega with this)
